Prem Krishnamurthy: Past Words

A three-part book reflecting on exhibitions, time, display, and writing, taking an anthology of texts and interviews by designer and curator Prem Krishnamurthy as its starting point / Writings by Prem Krishnamurthy from 2009-2024 are framed by materials documenting two exhibition-like experiments: "K, A Year with P. Krishnamurthy" (KW Institute for Contemporary Art, 2018/2019) and "Endless Exhibition" (Kunsthal Gent, 2019-ongoing). Each section of the book is designed by a different designer or team - Ann Richter, David Knowles, Mark Foss and Valentijn Goethals - , giving the entire volume a sense of multiplicity. Taken together, "Past Words" looks at how design, curating, exhibition-making, and language itself can become formats for speculation and ways to create new realities.
