The work MARKIERUNG by the Bulgarian artist Nedko Solakov (produced within the RELAUNCH project, 2013) consists of a series of commentaries and markings tagged with a felt-tipped pen on walls, windows, arches and doors throughout the exhibition and office spaces. The interventions highlight past actions, trace the institution's present and outline ideas for its future, simultaneously representing an appropriation and a self-portrayal of the Institution. The prints and ink drawings now released as digital pigment prints under MARKIERUNG are the second continuation of Solakov's project at KW, after the publication of a small book KW POCKET series. For the edition, Solakov reworks the original motifs with new commentaries and drawings, thus creating 15 new works, EMERCENCY 1–15, each of which is a unique artwork.
